HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' TENNIS: HORSEHEADS WINS TWO OF THREE DOUBLES MATCHES, BUT FALLS TO VESTAL (2024-04-19)

VESTAL — The Horseheads tennis team won two of the three doubles matches, but fell to Vestal 5-2 on Friday.

In first doubles Horseheads’ Jacob Staats and Abdullah Javed won 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 over Jack Miller and Jack Spencer.

In second doubles Cam White and Joseph Juan won 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 over Shai Yarkoni and Gavrlie Singh.

In third doubles Mark Mendez and Jacob nah of Horseheads were edged 1-6, 7-6 (7-3), 4-6 by Abhiram Kandanati and Colten Granish.

In first singles Vestal’s Praket Goindaraju won 6-0, 6-0 over Zachery Kathan and at second singles Sriram Chakravadhanula of Vestal won 6-1, 6-2 over Ryan Burns.

In third singles Jin Genese of Vestal beat Dominic Wood 6-3, 6-2 and at fourth singles Adidas Banerjee won 6-3, 6-2 over Hayden Chatlani.
