HIGH SCHOOL FLAG FOOTBALL: ROBERTSON HAS BIG GAME AS CORNING DOWNS ITHACA (2024-04-17)
Southern Tier Sports ReportITHACA — Grace Robertson ran for 225 yards as the Corning girls’ flag football team beat Ithaca 21-12 on Wednesday night.
Robertson had 225 yards on the ground and had three scores, two rushing and one receiving.
First-time quarterback Jacquie Crisco had one passing touchdown in the game.
Hannah Nichols picked off two passes and McKenna Kempton had an interception.
“We were really short-handed today, many of our starters were sick or dealing with injuries and could not make the trip,” Corning coach Rich Capo said. “This is one of the proudest times I have had the pleasure coaching these girls. We had girls that never started that had to step up and make plays and they did. This was a complete team win.”
