HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: HORSEHEADS PICKS UP VICTORY OVER HAWKS (2024-04-17)

CORNING — The Horseheads boys picked up a 6-1 win over Corning on Wednesday afternoon.

Horseheads scored runs in five of the first six innings of the game for their fifth straight win.

Trevor Reidy had two hits, with a double, three RBI and a run scored and Josh Stout had two hits and scored two runs.

Connor Ball, Keagan Monahan, Zac Giammichele and Dylan Schrock had hits for Horseheads. Schrock, Giammichele and Monahan scored runs, while Ball had an RBI.

Ball worked 5 2/3 innings, striking out six and allowing one run on eight hits. Monahan worked 1 1/3 innings, allowing one hit and no runs.

Eli King and Connor Monroe each had two hits for Corning, with King driving in a run.

Gavin Walker, Cameron Kennedy, Ryan Price, Carter Rosno and Kyler Miller all had hits in the game. Walker scored the Hawks run.

Laren Burch worked 5 2/3 innings, allowing nine hits and six runs, three earned, striking out six. Logan Moore worked 1 1/3 innings allowing two hits and no runs.
