ELMIRA — Delaney Abel birdied four of the final five holes to shoot a 37 to earn medalist honors, while the Corning girls picked up the team win in a five-team match at Mark Twain on Tuesday afternoon.

Abel had a 37 to earn medalist honors and Amanda Hall and Marghertia Dadone each shot 57, while Emma Frost had a round of 60.

Jaedyn Vernacotola shot a 63 and Zoe Martin had a 72 for Corning.

Waverly shot 218 to take second. Breanne Robinson shot a 46 to lead the Wolverines and Addison Hunt had a 52. Sophia Sileo shot a 58 and Natalie Lauper shot a 62, while Lauryn DeLill shot a 68.

Horseheads shot 248 to take third. Ava Fairbrother shot 54 and Sophie Hulslander shot a 56. Sammy Bonnell was third at 66 followed by Ellie Padgett at 73 and Maggie Tremaine at 83.

Host Elmira took fourth at 290. Allie Howe and Molly Mahon each shot rounds of 69, while Jayden Mann shot 73 and Mary Collins had a 79.

Notre Dame had three golfers on the day. Evelyn Wheeler shot 44, second best on the field for the day, while Emma Steed shot 52 and Bella Smith had a 75.
